Fall Festivities

The time of year when leaves turn brown
And fall like snow upon the ground
A mysticism with it brings
Harmless ghosts and other things
When one can be what one desires
Like pagans of old with bonfires
The adults too will join the fun
In costumes with the little ones
Playing a grown up trick or treat
Where what’s past out are drinks not eats
At parties playing guessing games
Can’t see the faces don’t know the names
A time to dance, a time to feast,
Among the beauties and the beasts
Bob for apples, getting wet
And toast to times no one forgets.
